Segawa Seicha's Tea Making
A tea farm at the foot of Mount Aso, blessed by nature.
Traditional tea cultivation methods were passed down from our ancestors and are used to process tea in our own factory on the same day it is freshly picked, resulting in fresh, rich-tasting, and highly aromatic tea.
Our Tamaryokucha is naturally delicious. The highest-quality tea made through traditional methods is the wisdom of our ancestors. We are committed to producing safe and secure Japanese Green Tea.
About Tamaryokucha
The 'Eighty-Eighth Night' marks the approach of summer.
High-quality tea is picked on the 88th day after the start of spring.
Segawa's Tamaryokucha, with great care taken to pick the new shoots, is finished in about three hours by steaming the freshly picked tea leaves on the same day, characterized by its fresh tea leaf aroma and deep, delicious taste.
Please enjoy our high-quality traditional Tamaryokucha.

Tea Farm
Our Own Tea Farm
Our own tea farm is located on well-drained land formed by volcanic ash, using Aso's water, and is managed with proper fertilization techniques.
Tea from the Kikuchi area is highly valued in the market for its highly aromatic and bright green color (when hot water is poured). -
Manufacturing
Our Own Tea Factory
The carefully picked tea is immediately transported to the factory, processed under strict quality control using the latest processing technology to produce fresh, deeply flavorful, and delicious Tamaryokucha. Recently, we obtained the agricultural production process management certification recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

JGAP Green Tea and Black Tea
(Finished Tea) Certification Acquired
Since October 2018, Segawa Seicha has been preparing and conducting self-inspections to obtain certification. On December 3, 2019, we underwent on-site and document reviews by the auditing agency, and on December 5 of the same year, we acquired the certification.
This means that our integrated production management system, from cultivation to tea making and delivery to customers, has been recognized.
JGAP is an agricultural production process management method recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
Certification is only given to farms that have been confirmed by a third-party inspection to be working on 'food safety' and 'environmental conservation'.
